ESPN Thursday Special Edition of Friday Night Fights at Hialeah Park Racing & Casino

The iconic venue Hialeah Park Racing & Casino felt alive, vibrant, the venue was filled with excitement, glitz, festivities and plenty of buzz surrounding the event. If you have not been to Hialeah Park Racing & Casino you must take a visit, so that you can see and enjoy the many changes that have taken place with the venue.

The event was a special Thursday edition of ESPN's "Friday Night Fights" brought to you by Warriors Boxing Promotion. The eventful night took place May 1st, 2014 at seven in the evening, the anxiousness and excitement was felt through the crowd as they commenced to locate their seats. The evening was special not only for boxing fans, but for all who were present to enjoy a night to remember at the iconic, legendary Hialeah Park Racing & Casino venue.

I personally soaked in every moment between the fights, the global television coverage of ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes, the entertainment surrounding the event and the stars that were in attendance to enjoy a special evening in the spotlight.
Many of the stars you could find were former Heavy Weight Champion
Riddick Bowe, former Light Weight Champion Joel Casamayor, Former WBA and IBF Feather Weight Champion Yuriorkis Gamboa, Florida Based Musician Tito Puente Jr, singer-song writer, and record producer Willy Chirino and current WBC Middle Weight Champion Sergio Martinez.

The night commenced when the ring announcer released the famous Hialeah Park Flamingos. There were several fights on the card, the main event was Victor Cayo and Roberto Garcia, which proved to be a good fight until they reached the sixth round at two minutes and thirty eight seconds and Roberto Garcia won the match with a barrage of combinations to the head prompting the referee to stop the fight by way of technical knock out. There was another fight that drew concern from the crowd and that was between Ahmed Elbiale who fights out of Miami, Fl. and Steven Chadwick Jr. As soon as the bell rung Steven chadwick Jr was overwhelmed with Amhed Elbiale's power and was knocked out by a combination of left and rights to the head. The referee stopped the fight declaring the winner by knock out to Ahmed Elbiale, the medical staff entered the ring, because Steven Chadwick JR was unconscious and had to be carried out on a stretcher and was later taken to Hialeah Hospital.

After all was said and done it was a great night for the city of Hialeah, for the boxing fans that attended, for the enthusiast who went out to experience a nostalgic night filled with fun, excitement and entertainment. I would personally like to thank Hialeah Park Racing & Casino for allowing me and my photographer Mister Roly to cover this special Thursday edition of ESPN's Friday Night Fights. The Boxing Ring was beautifully placed outdoors, the staff was friendly and accommodating, we had easy access into the venue, my photographer Mister Roly and I Anthony Sanchez host of the sports talk show "Real Talk Real Sports" have nothing but good things to say about our experience, we recommend anyone who has not been out to the new Hialeah Park Racing & Casino venue to please do so, you'll have a good time and will be treated right.
